Telement is the premier mental health telehealth provider for schools and nonprofits in Florida and beyond. Post-Hurricane Ian and pandemic shutdowns, this work is needed more than ever before. Telement and Educator Dynamics partnered up to develop a districtwide mental wellness and culture strategic plan to create opportunities for growth, learning, and academic gain. We believe there is an opportunity to create a culture of wellness by addressing the needs of educators and students, and we believe Educator Dynamics is the organization that will help us achieve optimal results among students, staff, and families.
Introducing: Educator Dynamics
Culture, or the core beliefs and behaviors evident in how a school community operates, is the first line of defense for mental well-being. It is incredibly important for educators to feel supported with their own wellness so they can be the “first responders” in the well-being of students while on campus. Educator Dynamics offers professional development for educators who are burned out, stuck, and looking for a new way to make an impact, as well as programs for school leaders seeking support to transform their school culture. Educator Dynamics is focused on transforming school culture, building community for educators, improving school dynamics, and igniting the genius within educators and students alike.
Telement and Educator Dynamics: Working together for students, educators, and schools
Telement & Educator Dynamics have created a partnership to provide whole system wellness for schools in Florida post-Hurricane Ian and pandemic shutdowns. As an integrated partnership, we can create a culture of wellness that allows for better individual, professional and academic growth for students who are struggling and teachers who support them.
On the mental health side, Telement will provide therapeutic intervention and data every step of the way. 98% of Telement Therapists have previously worked in schools and understand the need for increased communication within the school system structure. With mental health no longer confined to the counseling office, students, staff, and families need a way to have access to and connect with a range of available services.
Telement recognizes that mental healthcare does not have a one-size fits all solution. In order to meet the demand for youth mental health support, we created support options ranging from school psychology services to individualized intensive ongoing therapy and educating adults living and working with youth.
Educator Dynamics and Telement have created a pilot program proposal to support up to seven schools within the same zone, creating a stronger system of care from elementary to middle school and middle to high school. This will also allow families who have children at multiple schools within that zone to see the cohesive response in developing a culture of wellness.
Educator Dynamics and Telement have developed programs for student and staff wellness that are impactful and accessible, with virtual options. Educators will receive culture and wellness training, as well as an optional 90-minute wellness check-in to support their own needs. Parents will receive Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training and certification, increasing the number of adults who know how to respond to a mental health concern before it becomes a crisis. Students will receive direct services, with options for community referrals as needed. Working together, our goal is to fully support the emotional and cultural well-being of Florida students and the educators who serve them. We look forward to customizing the rollout of the districtwide mental wellness and culture strategic plan with you to serve the entire Sarasota School District!
