Taught by Professionals

Telement offers Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training programs taught by mental health professionals who have the qualifications and experience to help others identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance abuse among children and adolescents. Each program consists of a comprehensive curriculum to give attendees the tools to help those they mentor and teach. And program participants earn certifications in YMHFA, illustrating completion and mastery of the subject.

Here to Help

Even before the onset of this pandemic, mental health professionals were struggling to meet the needs of children with mental health challenges or learning disorders. Since 2020, we have seen the mental health struggles among our youth increase. You’ve seen these struggles first hand in your organization or school. But you no longer have to feel alone in facing these challenges with your students. We are here to help.

Course Types

Telement provides individual and corporate YMHFA training courses, depending on your level of need. Upon completion of YMHFA training, adults working with youth are better equipped to notice common symptoms of mental health problems in youth from anxiety and depression to substance abuse.

Who Should Get Certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid?

Any member of the community that works with youth should get certified in youth mental health first aid. Educators, coaches, parents, clergy, and counselors are on the front lines of youth mental health and it is vital they are able to recognize the signs of a child in crisis and be able to intervene effectively.
