Psychology plays a big role in how we view finances, which is fascinating. Your money is intertwined with the decisions you make every day. Together, we can use that to our collective advantage. How much do you know about your own money mindset? And which areas need a little – or a lot – of TLC? The Money Mindset Series, taught by money coach Lisa Chastain, is a set of classes designed to empower you to learn your why and start building a better financial future. This is a part of our self-care series for therapists. It is important to me to create an environment in which team members can care for themselves in order to provide the highest quality care for their clients. In order to help others, we must help ourselves stay prepared for the future. And that includes our financial future.

Your Money Mindset Matters

There is no denying the fact that money is emotional. Your habits and attitudes about your financial life are unique to you and your experiences, as well as how you were taught by your parents and other early experiences you’ve had. People behave differently when it comes to money because they were raised to look at money differently. Your way is not the right or wrong way, but getting to know your mindset is important.

When it comes to finances, some people are pretty much winging it. For others, there’s a lot of intention and effort. The rest of us are usually somewhere in between, but one thing is certain: you can learn and apply changes at any time. You can start as soon as today.

There are some common reasons why you may feel like it’s time to be more financially secure:

  • No easy and simple systems
  • Money Management isn’t a priority
  • Not optimizing time to eliminate second-guessing or double-work
  • Lack of clarity – that means, not knowing your ‘why’

Did you know: Wealthy people spend an average of 20-30 hours a month dedicated to their money. While that seems like a lot, the point is that it works for them. Yes, part of that time is spent looking at numbers, but not all of it. Prioritizing your time to learn strategies for better financial health is all part of the process.

                                   The Money Matters Series

This 6-part Money Matters series, led by money coach Lisa Chastain, is built around money habits, behaviors, mindset, and investing. We’ll facilitate valuable conversations around money and provide supportive information so that anyone can apply it to their lives and work towards financial stability and growth.

In this 6-part money series, you’ll learn money systems that save you time. You’ll also learn how to prioritize your time and money with action steps – like monthly money dates, engaging in money conversations, and business money meetings. That way, your finances can stay on track with your goals, and you have operational systems in place every month to track your growth.

Since time is money, you’ll also learn ways to optimize your time, so that we work smarter, not harder. Tools like delegation, outsourcing, and other support systems that set you up for success, so you’re not trying to swim upstream on your own. Here is a basic breakdown of this 6-part Money Mindset Series:

Class 1: Money Personality Types

Class 2: Money Basics – Setting up your household to win!

Class 3: Talking to Kids About Money – Having the right conversations

Class 4: The Wealthy Person’s Mindset – How to create and attract wealth

The Tools You Need to Change Your Money Mindset

The bottom line is this: How you spend your time is how you spend your money. Your money mindset is not just an expression – it has a powerful impact on your financial future.

Your relationship with money and how you spend it is intimately connected to your ability to have an impact on the planet. The more financial stability and security we have, the bigger our impact can be. But it all comes down to mindset first. I know it takes work to face your finances, but it doesn’t have to be impossible. With the success of offering this series to the Telement and Herrera Psychology team members, we believe that other therapists will benefit from this series as well. Stay tuned for the official class dates coming soon and let’s tackle money, mindset, and mental health together.
